Auguste Chabaud Regional Museum

Born in Nîmes in 1882, Auguste Chabaud lived in Graveson, in the Martin’s “mas”, near the Montagnette, where he painted, sculpted and wrote until his death in 1955.

He was a fauvist movement member with Matisse and Derain.

The museum is situated on the « cours National », at the end of the brook in the centre of the village. It is entirely dedicated to the painter’s works which are presented thematically and reorganized every season.


Open everyday from June to September from 10 to 12 am and from 1.30 to 6.30 pm, from October to May from 1.30 to 6.30 pm.
Guided tours by appointment.
Series of conferences, modelling workshop (for adults and children). _ Painting courses during the summer.
